The first years after birth are the most critical for kids' brain development. In the first two years, the brain is about 80% of its adult weight. By the age of five, the brain increases up to 90% of the adult size. During this "golden period”, kids begin to discover the world around them in various ways, from observing, listening, improving memory, storing language, learning to use language flexibly to improving their skills in coordinating body movements. Their ability to develop during this period has a profound impact on their life in the later years. Therefore, mothers need to readily prepare for an optimal support to their kid’s physical and intellectual development during this golden period.
